Everyone can help the reunion effort by spreading the word and encouraging their family members to attend! Although all family members (those we have addresses for!) will receive a written invitation. a personal invitation is always much more likely to influence them to come. Please reach out to your family and let them know we want them there!
Help Obtain and Update Family Addresses and E-Mails
We have contact information for the majority of the FAMILY. We really need to reach out to these younger generations, get their contact information, and let them know that we would really like to see them at the reunion.
Additionally, although many people have access to a computer and have e-mail addresses, we only have record of a few, and several of those are out of date. We would like to be able to split our contact list into two lists: "mail contact" and "e-mail contact". This would greatly cut down on printing and mailing costs, and allow family members to choose the method of contact that best fits their lifestyle.
It is a great honor to be a descendant of this wonderful family. Although several of our ancestors have passed away, they have left a giant legacy. It is our responsibility to continue to build upon this legacy our ancestors started. If we do not pass down our legacy, who will?
We must be strong, educated, dedicated, determined and have the will to survive and surpass any and all obstacles that we face now and in the future.
We must stick together and support each other not only when times are good, but, when times are bad also. Everybody needs somebody sometime. Let's stand by the saying, "united we stand, divided we fall".
It gives me great pleasure to be a part of the historians of the family and to be able to share with all of you the past as well as the future. It is my dream that the future generations will continue to expound upon this family's heritage.

Wesley Morton, son of Pealor W Morton whose father was Loranza Tipton Morton, whose father was William Morton 1826, in Kentucky. William married Mary Elizabeth Brooks.
Ther children were Jophn Jefferson Morton, 1852, Samuel Huston, 1854, James Robert Morton 1856, Loranza Tipton morton l858, Joseph Pealor Morton 1860 and Cordelia E Morton 1863 Loranza Tipton Morton had the followin children, Cora Loafman, Lora, Grant, Tisha Killingsworth, Lottie Tummons, Walter Morton and Pealor Wesley Morton, my father.
Uncles and aunts who all lived in Missosuri except for Cora who married a Loafman and moved to Okla Oct 2009 were just got in touch with a great grandaughter of Joseph Pealor Morton and was much suprised to find a distant relative like her. It has now started me to look for all those other great uncles and aunts decendant that must be out there some where.

were Maerene (Fisher) Walker (birth and death unknown), Melba Ann (Fisher) Volner (birth and death unknown), and one surviving sister Sara Laverne (Fisher) Davis
(1930).
There are family descendants of Charles Wesley that I have never had the pleasure of meeting. I would like that opportunity in my lifetime, so I am trying to organize

We are trying to locate other descendants of my father.His name was Chester Authur Kemp, II. His grandfather was Richard Kemp, Son of Andrew and Matilda. Andrew Kemp's parents were Sam and Patience. We first find them in the Edgefield (SC) census. Eventually, they wound up in Greenwood, SC where I live.
My great grandfather had two sets of children, we learned through our research. One set lived in Newberry, SC but we have not been able to track them. He also had many brothers and sisters, and we can only verify information on three of them. Missing sibling information is on Julius (or Julian), Patience, Robert, Emma, Sarah, George, William, Sumpter and Elliott.
I located the children of my father's first cousin. We know that there are others out there. We would like to hold a reunion of this branch of Kempis in 2008 in South Carolina. Any information that anyone has will be appreciated. Some of them worked for the railroad and my have migrated to Georgia.
